Making Education Matter

This is gonna be the title of the book I write this year. I am tired of education for kids being all about making it up as you go along. Unless we are able to put what we teach into a larger context, so much of what kids do in school will seem pointless and stupid. And then we wonder why they begin to think school and education are a waste of time.......Who is wasting who's time in this equation????

New Media in Education

I started producing my own podcast in June of 2006. The local newspaper wrote an article about it in August, and a professor at the University of Delaware, Mark Serva, called me and asked me to lecture his class on mobile technology about podcasting this past fall. I was thrilled! Now, as part of their final grade, the students have produced their own podcasts. I am putting them up here and burning a feed, so these first attempts at podcasting from finance majors at the University will be available for all!
